UBER activity in regards to Personal Auto Policies
To all of you that asked me about Uber in regards to Personal Auto Policies:
Uber is a passenger for fee activity that is not covered under your personal auto policy. If you or your passenger file a claim under your policy for an accident arising while doing Uber, more likely it would be denied and your policy would be cancel for misrepresentation. It really does not matter if UBER has its own insurance or not, doing Uber is risking losing your own Personal Auto Policy.
What I think of Uber is irrelevant, these are the facts that as Insurance Agent I am obliged to make of your knowledge.
